It's Summer and I Feel Like Having A Giveaway! ($25 to Book Depository)

I'm Canadian and I'm well aware of the joke that Canadian summers last about a month out of the year. The sad thing is, the joke has some truth to it. While I'm used to the cold and the snow, this past winter was harsher than most and man do I
absolutely hate shoveling. To make matters worse, the temperature has also been on the cool-side until recently. When it finally hit 25°C the other day, I immediately grabbed a book, slathered on some sunscreen and relaxed on my back porch. There is nothing I love more then reading in the sun!

So in order to celebrate that summer has finally arrived in Canada, I thought I would host a giveaway so some lucky winners have the chance to get out and read in the sun. Just remember the sunscreen ladies!

  3. We've had a few sunfilled days in the Netherlands but it's raining cats and dogs over here ATM :( I love to sit on the porch and readmsome good books and with my lily white skin I sure will lather up the sunscreen *wink* otherwise it's burn, shed skin and then go lily white again...

Thanks for an awesome giveaway and lets hope the summer wil be long enough to have a cocktail party :)

  4. Aislynn - I live in Alberta. The weather is so crazy here sometimes! One day it's freezing cold and raining and the next it's bright and sunny. Silly Canada :P

.Ambur. - Your welcome :) Hope your summer is going well.

Leontine - I know how you feel about the lily- white skin. If I'm out in direct sun for an hour, I'll be pink. Just can't win sometimes, sigh.

  6. Lucky you to have summer only one month out of the year. Here in south central Texas our summer starts in the middle of spring up til like the 1st of novemember. Today was 105 (HOT) and the Heat index was 107 degrees. It is also so dry that I have 1 inch cracks in our yard from it being so dry. We need rain really bad - everyone 50 miles north of us and above is getting all that needed rain we need.

by the way I love your blog.

  8. The weather in North Carolina is tropical. Humidity and temperature in the 90's. Brutal, I envy those in the colder climes. I long for snow.

  11. Nissie - Canada is a wonderful place! However, when it's -30 (don't know what that would be in Fahrenheit) and the snow is up to your waist, it can be a little hard to handle.

Rhonda - Thank you! It has rained all day where I live in Alberta. I'll try to send it down your way ;)

Moonlight Gleam - Ooo, Montreal! I want to go there soooooo badly!

Blue Shedevil - Snow can be nice, but man I would kill for some tropical weather. I'm pale as a ghost and in desperate need of a tan!

  15. Thanks for the giveaway. I'm in Alaska and weather has been nice and sunny here. Usually it is rainy at this time of the year. We had a mild winter too with most of the lower 48 having worse temps and snowfall. The sad part is watching how much of the glacier by me has melted. :(

  17. The contest sounds interesting! The weather has been a little up and down for us as well here in Ohio, right now it looks like it wants to rain which isn't so bad just as long as it doesn't heat things up too much.
